The tallest structure in the city at 61 meters cannot be overlooked. Also a real must for visitors to the region is the Shwezigon Pagoda from the 11th century with its huge golden cup. The largest sanctuary in the city is the Ananda Temple, which was built at the beginning of the 12th century in the splendid Indian style. Landscapes to see and the Irrawaddy River

If you want to immerse yourself in the extremely scenic nature during your visit to the popular region, you should take a boat trip on the Irrawaddy River, the largest and most important river in the country, from Mandalay to Bagan. This leads, among other things, through dense rainforests, past original small villages. If you want to enjoy the region in its entirety, you can do so with a balloon ride, among other things. The visitor is offered an unforgettable view of the many enchanting temples as well as the many breathtaking natural wonders. Adventurers can explore nature on their own. The best time to travel to the Bagan region is from May to October. During this time, the temperatures are a pleasant 20 to 25 degrees Celsius.
